2025 Week 23 To-Do
If you’re like me, this has been a rough overall week for the ol’ allergies. (Pictured: a poor picture of the yellow coating on my window that has been everywhere.)
It felt early in the week like I had pollen lining the inside of my lungs.
It wasn’t exactly like it was hard to breathe or affecting my everyday life terribly, but there was a lot of coughing and mucus and a general feeling of being clogged up.
By the end of the week I hosed a lot of that yellow off the back deck…hopefully it’ll clear up this week a little bit and I won’t have to do more wiping down of pollen.
Either way, here’s what this week looks like.
This Week’s To-Do
One thing I’ll be doing a lot more this week than last week is Watch the Mets. They were on the west coast to play the Dodgers for four games and three of the four started at 10pm and I didn’t make first pitch. (In part because I was tired because I was not sleeping well because of the pollen.) I did watch Thursday afternoon, which was a 4pm start. Then games that started after 9 in Colorado. It’ll be nice to be able to watch them at regular times again this week.
Last week was party set-up, this week will be Party Break-Down. That means putting away the tent, which is great to have in rainy conditions but is really heavy and tough to put up and down.
This Week’s May-Do
After a week off because of graduation and getting other things ready for the party, it’s time to Resume Painting. I’ve really made good progress - but this last little bit of the TV area is going to be a bear.
There’s another Fun Run this week. I talked myself out of going to the last one…maybe I’ll do better motivating myself to show up for this week’s.
You may remember that last week we only had a To-Do, with no May-Do. For more details you can click here, but here’s the quick recap:
Last Week’s To-Do
The threat of thunderstorms pushed the graduation ceremony from Friday to Sunday. We still had the party on Saturday. (Obviously Sunday graduation is on this week’s to-do list, but I’m not writing that again.)
I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again: Every time I do a lot of yard work I’m very happy with how everything looks and I wish it could just stay like that forever.
I slapped together a June menu quick.
