2025 Week 30 To-Do

The thirtieth week of the year feels like a pretty big mile marker.

There’s nothing terribly significant about it - it’s more than halfway - not an exact halfway marker - but it’s a nice round number.

I guess the biggest significance here is that it’s the last week of July - August starts this week.

One quick note, which serves as a follow-up to a story we’ve been following, is that I had the Oreo Brownie Frosty this week.

It was very good. I had it with chocolate ice cream, which is the way to go for me. Basically it’s the brownie batter coating mixed in a touch more, with some oreo crumble also mixed in.

Next item of business will be to have the brownie batter one with chocolate ice cream.

OK. On to the To-Dos.

This Week’s To-Do List

  • We have plans to See The Fantastic 4 this weekend.

  • I decided to re-jigger next week’s schedule for a few reasons I’ll probably tell you about in next week’s list, but I think I’ll be doing this week’s Long Run on Friday after work instead of Saturday.

  • Holy smokes the MLB trade deadline is this week. I’ll be Parked In Front Of MLB Network Most Of Thursday Afternoon. (Might be worth noting here I Might Not See A Lot Of Mets This Week because they’re playing on the west coast and those games are too late for me.)

  • And what with the recent All Star break and the upcoming 10pm start times while I haven’t been watching baseball I have been and will continue to be Catching Up On Movies And TV. Expect to read about some of those - a lot of those, actually, over the next couple of weeks.

And here’s how we did last week, with a reminder you can click here for some more details on each of these items:

Last Week’s To-Do List:

  • I went to David Wright’s number retirement and Mets Hall of Fame induction, and I already told you about it.

  • A seemingly happy daughter came back from orientation so I think it all went well.

  • I’ll get into the week of workouts in tomorrow’s recap. Tuesday morning’s went pretty well.

  • As you heard yesterday, I did see Superman.
