2025 Week 43 To-Do

I recently dug these old helmets - Blue Jays pictured above - out of the garage…I know I have the Dodgers one somewhere but this magnet will have to do.

The thing about the American League Championship Series is I didn’t want either the Seattle Mariners or the Toronto Blue Jays to lose.

(That’s different from the National League, where between the Dodgers, Brewers, Phillies, etc. there are quite a few teams I do not want to see have success.)

Either way, though, we were guaranteed a new World Series matchup which, as longtime readers already know, once the Mets are eliminated, is the number one thing I root for in the playoffs.

And despite the Dodgers’ dominance on the National League side, I do think the Blue Jays have a shot to beat them - I felt that way about the Mariners too.

So I’ll be tuning into some of the World Series this week - what I can stay awake for, at least.

Here’s what else is going on:

This Week’s To-Do

  • It’s Leaf-Raking Time. I should spend a little bit of time on that this weekend. (And every weekend for the next month-plus, probably.)

  • I’m getting ready to Begin The Next Step For Finishing The Painting Job I started lo so many months ago. Basically, I’m getting back to all of the things that I put on hold when marathon training kicked in.

  • Since it’s the last week of October I guess I’d better Make A November Menu.

  • Oh! Big night later this week - a National Honor Society Induction.

  • And I’m hoping to make it to the movies to See The Springsteen Movie.

Last week was a lot of getting back to normal after the marathon. Here’s how it went, with a reminder you can click here to see more (there’s not much) detail:

Last Week’s To-Do

  • I did run a little - that will be featured in tomorrow’s post.

  • Everything went smoothly when there were just three of us in the house.

  • Not a bad week overall. Mostly back into the usual.
