I debated whether I should even do a To-Do List this week, considering we’ve reached the end of the year here, but I figured why not.

You know I love routine.

Also, it’s a good opportunity to tie a little bow on this mystery.

Loyal readers might remember way back in the Week 37 To-Do List (I didn’t remember that off-hand - I had to go back and look), a similar picture to the one at left, with uncertainty about how the calendar was calculating the days remaining in the year.

I decided, since this is the last To-Do List, it might be a cool way to illustrate how few days were left in the year - but again, I was a little perplexed because 361 and 5 add up to 366, and this isn’t a leap year.

The 5 is the key here. December 27th is truly the 361st day of the year. No argument from me there. But I would argue there’s only 4 days left in the year - the calendar is including December 27th when it says 5 days left in the year.

Since there are so few days to count it was easier to figure this out now than 15 weeks ago, with more than 100 days left.

So there. We’ve solved everything. Just before the year ends.

I guess maybe what I will do is break format this week and just use this as an opportunity to give you some final updates on a couple of things we keep mentioning:

I solved the Super Mega Crossword this week, and submitted my answer. I can still work on the rest of the puzzles in Puzzle Mania the rest of my time off here.
I caught up on Stranger Things before Christmas. Not sure I would have watched the final four episodes by the time you read this but if not it will be soon.
I saw while I was watching football last week an ad for another Everybody Loves Raymond reunion special - the second half, I think they called it? I told you it was edited awkwardly. But I didn’t watch it and I probably won’t. They got me for one night only.
The gingerbread houses seemed too complicated for me to make so two of my daughters each made one. I am responsible for eating about 95% of the gingerbread, though.
