2025 Week 27 To-Do
I mentioned last week I wasn’t sure if I was going to run the Sudbury 4th of July Road Race that I ran last year.
My training called for a 3-to-4 mile run on Friday…but easy, not in race form.
In the end I decided why not - it was just $20.
I had a really fast time last year - I wasn’t out to challenge that.
But I ran it at a pretty good clip and felt good after, so it all worked out nicely.
And then I set up my TV outside and watched the Mets beat the Yankees and enjoyed a beautiful 4th of July day al fresco.
As for the rest of the week ahead:
This Week’s To-Do
Monday is a Big Day. Nothing really planned - I’m working on my birthday for the first time in years. There is a 100% chance it will be a better working birthday than the last time in 2018.
Week Two of Marathon Training, of course.
Friday is supposed to be a Big Festival at work, so it should be a busy day, but a good kind of busy where it’s something different so it spices things up. I guess it’s worth keeping an eye on the weather, though - the end of the week looks wet and this is meant to be outside.
Last week, you may remember, was all May-Dos, because I didn’t want to pressure myself during 4th of July week. Let’s see how that went, with a reminder you can click here to see each item in (slightly) more detail:
Last Week’s May-Do
As mentioned above, I did in fact run the race.
I did not spend the day at the beach. Instead I dropped my daughter off with the rest of the family at the Cape and came home…
…because I did do some more painting. All that’s left is the area where the TV is…and the stairway and entrance hallway.
I didn’t do the full menu. I did print out a July, August, and September calendar, though, and I’ll fill them in as I think of meals.
Chicago Marathon Training is underway. More on that tomorrow.
