The downstairs setup that we never made it out to due to rain…

This tent is a real bear to put up.

Don’t get me wrong - it was a great purchase.

The girls have gotten interested in having outdoor get-togethers for their birthdays.

Last fall, the birthday party was threatened by rain…so I went out and got this tent to make sure the party could still happen.

…and the upstairs setup which, as it turned out, was not very weatherproof. I think the blue canopy has some holes in it.

Turned out it didn’t rain, it was just a little damp earlier in the day, but we had the tent for future events.

Graduation was one such event - but I went through the pain and strain of putting up the tent for nothing - it poured and we never even made it outside.

So that’s twice now - I put it up for rain that didn’t happen and it was unnecessary, and I put it up for rain that happened but prevented us from even getting to it - that we’ve tried to use it and didn’t need it.

Someday I’m sure it will have been worth the effort it takes to put it up.

This Week’s To-Do

I’ve been dreading this week on the calendar for weeks. On Monday we’ll Take The Dog To The Vet. It’s my least favorite thing to do - she gets anxious, I get anxious. I can’t wait for it to be over.
There’s a 5K - the culmination of the Couch To 5K program I’ve been helping out with on Sunday mornings - that I’ll Be Running this morning, maybe even have completed by the time you read this. I’ll tell you about it this week.
This week begins the Monday Through Friday Portion Of My Work Schedule. It’s Tuesday through Friday during the school year, and Monday through Friday in the summer. I’ll be doing only the afternoon to start - I’m going in once the aforementioned vet appointment is over.
We have the last days of school this week and the big thing is the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony. Then it’s summer vacation.
Kathy and I also decided to Go To A Concert on Friday. I’ll be telling you about that one as well.

Last Week’s To-Do

I have definitely been enjoying the Mets this week. Fun week of games.
A lot better success putting the tent away this time than last. I’m learning.

Last Week’s May-Do

I didn’t do any painting this week. I would like to finish where I left off, but I definitely enjoyed the break this week.
I did the fun run with the running group. It was really nice. We did a 5K and then sat around a local brewery for a bit. It was fun.
