2025 Week 36 To-Do

This is somewhat coincidental, but over the next few weeks the pictures I have selected for these To-Do Lists all are examples of ways I note the passage of time during the year.

This tree pictured at left is one of the ways.

I went for my run on Monday morning - Labor Day - and noticed it’s starting to turn a bit. (The one that is at the end of the street on the right there.)

That hint of color slowly but surely becomes a bright orange as we get deeper into the fall and then the leaves fall off the tree.

I love watching its progression every year.

And the added bonus this year is as that tree changes (well, as all of the trees change), we get closer and closer to the Chicago Marathon.

I also realized on Monday that we are just as far from the Chicago Marathon as we are from mid-July. (Bonus extra way that I measure time. Sometimes I compare what lies ahead to the time that has passed.)

Just a little insight into my brain. You’ll get some more these next couple of weeks - it’s getting busy so I have to plan them ahead a bit. OK. On to this week’s To-Do List:

This Week’s To Do

  • I was all set to tell you that I was going to Find Someplace To Watch The Jets on Sunday becasue I’ve kind of gotten myself excited to watch them, and the Patriots will be on regular TV at 1pm, so I have to find a place that will show the Jets game…but I have decided on another route. I’ll tell you about it this week.

  • I have a Dentist Appointment on Monday.

  • And I Bring The Car In For Service on Wednesday. It needs an oil change for sure…perhaps some other work? It makes too much noise when I start it up. Either way, it’s bound to be stressful!

  • I also am back to a Tuesday Through Friday At-Work Schedule, so I’ll have an opportunity to get more writing work done on Mondays.

  • Except for this week, which is Tuesday through Thursday, because Thursday night I Depart For Reach The Beach. Can’t believe that’s already here.

Here’s the update on last week, with a reminder you can click here to read about each one in more detail:

Last Week’s To Do

  • I didn’t quite settle on what I’ll wear for the marathon, but I am about 90% sure where I’ll end up. Just an old, comfortable shirt. Not trying to impress anyone here.

  • The games were mostly enjoyable this past week.

  • The writing was very successful. I’ll make sure to write about it soon, but if not I’ll address it on October 1st.
