2025 Week 51 To-Do
I got a couple more year-end wraps this week - one from Chick-fil-A, which is not a place I go often so it wasn’t very exciting….and another (somewhat underwhelming) one from the New York Times Games, which I might write about next week.
BUT it’s what didn’t come that I’m most disappointed about.
Last year I got a cool wrap-up of my baseball watching on the MLB.TV app - that’s what you see at the left.
I remembered that this week and went to see if I accidentally deleted it without reading it (I get a lot of email from MLB and associated newsletters that I almost immediately delete)…and it does not appear to have come this year.
I guess there’s still time…but there’s no reason they have to wait until late December.
They can send that one in November after the season ends.
And now it looks like maybe they’re not sending it at all.
Bummer.
UPDATE: I have found the 2025 stats. I will leave them here.
This Week’s To-Do
Christmas! Both Eve and Day will be with different sides of the family.
There will be some Time Spent In New York as well.
What with all that traveling and family time I need to Make Sure I Have A Few Of These Posts Written In Advance, leading up to the final few posts of the year.
I think I’ve talked my daughter into a Trip To The Mall For Shopping with me (it may just cost me a lunch).
As I told you in Friday’s post - I may Make A Gingerbread House. I opened the box Friday night and remembered why I don’t usually do it - it looks so complicated. Maybe I’ll just let the girls go to town…and then eat the walls and roof.
I’ve caught up to the current season of Stranger Things, so I’ll Watch The 4 Episodes Of Season 5 before the new ones come out on Christmas. (I had to take a couple of days off, though. Didn’t love Season 4. Quite dark.)
OK. How'd we do last week? Reminder, you can click here for more details about each item: (And I’ll add here, because it wasn’t a bullet but it was what I wrote about, I played the leaf card perfectly. I picked them up Friday and Saturday morning, and then took them to the yard waste center Saturday, and then it snowed on Sunday. Two good things: 1) had I waited until Sunday it would have been bad news - probably wouldn’t have dropped them off in the snow, and 2) the snow kind of pinned down any unpicked-up leaves so that they wouldn’t blow around and while the driveway isn’t leaf spotless, it is in pretty good shape heading into winter. It makes me a little nuts, these leaves.)
Last Week’s To-Do
I wasn’t even thinking about the college football playoffs but that’s a bonus piece of the Puzzle Mania/college bowl games.
I feel like I’ve earned a couple of weeks here. Looking forward to it.
We did do the Christmas tree, and I told you about it.
This wasn’t bad. I spent time with some nice people.
