A New Place To Hang My Hats
As I’ve alluded to a couple of times this year, my lack of self-control (and a recent obsession with mesh-back hats) has led to an increase in my hat collection.
Back when I had just a couple of hats in the rotation, I kept them on my closet doorknob.
But they’ve become too numerous for that small space, so I’ve started to hang them on the backs of the barstools and there was another one just laying around and I figured I had to do something.
So a few weeks ago I was in Target and I was looking for something else but a hat solution was in the back of my mind and I got a little rack that I figured I could put in my office and organize the hats a little better.
And this past weekend I finally hung it up.
It’s a little crowded - I thought the hats would hang differently than they actually do - but it does the job.
It’s really only for some of the hats I wear more frequently - which is not as often as I used to wear them.
The ones on the right are the ones I’ll run and sweat in.
The ones in the middle and on the left are the Mets ones I wear the most.
The rack came with the kind of brackets you’re supposed to drill into the wall - I knew I was just using it for hats so I didn’t go beyond the screws it came with.
If I was hanging something heavier I’d worry about it more…but I’m not.
It’s just a place to keep my hats organized and not have them spill into the other room.
